Web Services
– integrate web-based applications

Web Services

Web Services is a standardized way to integrate web-based applications that use XML, SOAP, WSDL, and UDDI, which are open standards for internet protocols.

XML is used to tag data, SOAP is used to transfer data, WSDL is used to describe the services available and UDDI lists which services are available. In other words, web service is a method of communication between two electronic devices over a network. Blue Integrator allows you to create and manage a web service.

You can use web service for Blue Integrator as a broadcast port or recipient port. You can also use CallWebServiceDirect, a feature for calling an external web service from a workflow, or using VSTA (visual studio tools for applications).
