HTTP Transport

The HTTP Transport Provider allows you to receive messages (from a HTTP GET), or send messages in the form of a HTTP Post.  Note that this is not the same as the Web Service Provider, and does not involve SOAP.

You just need to configure the URL, and optionally the URL of an intermediate Proxy Server.  For security reasons you cannot specify credentials directly to the Proxy Server or Post URL, you must use Windows authentication.

The fields on the HTTP Send tab are used when the Send Port uses HTTP as a transport:

  • Target URL: sets the URL for the receiving machine
  • Proxy Server: allows you to specify a port number to be used by the Send Port, if necessary
